We were nominated by the chamber for the Business Heroes Award as “a recognition of the work Connect medical systems has been doing over the past 7 months in supporting the Greater Manchester community during the Coronavirus outbreak”.Before Lockdown all Connect Medical Systems staff had a meeting and decided to remain open during the lockdown to support NHS hospitals and their Frontline Staff locally. Our factory staff worked extra hours and through the weekends and our office staff left their desks and joined the factory to ensure hospitals received the equipment needed in time to open or to extend existing wards. Since then we have supplied Medical Gas equipment to North Manchester General Hospital, Rochdale Infirmary, Birmingham Nightingale Centre, Kings College Hospital London, Belfast City Hospital Nightingale Centre and the Louisa Jordan Hospital in Glasgow, among others. We are remaining open for the 2nd lockdown for the same reasons and plan to do so throughout the pandemic.
